The Origins and Philosophy
The Sages (Rishis or Siddhars): Tradition holds that thousands of years ago, enlightened ancient Indian sages—such as Agastya, Bhrigu, Vashistha, and Bogar—used their spiritual vision (Divya Drishti) to foresee the lives, past karmas, and future paths of countless souls.
The Palm Leaves (Olai Suvadi): These prophecies were inscribed in poetic, ancient Tamil script onto dried, treated palm leaves.
Preservation: Passed down through generations of astrologers and royal libraries, major collections of these leaf bundles are centered around temple towns, most famously Vaitheeswaran Koil in Tamil Nadu.
